Manufacturing Technologies Group provides phone & online support to all customers. If you have a problem you just can't solve, and you can't find the answer anywhere, here's the place to start.

If you have a problem you just can't solve, and you can't find the answer anywhere, Log a Support Email. We try to give you same day service, but some support call backs take a bit longer - please allow us up to 48 hours to respond.

Don't like the email thing - call us at 815.966.2300 and someone from our Tech Team will assist you.

Support Calls and Emails are charged at $105/hour, if you use our tech staff often - you can purchase the yearly support contract for less than what you would pay for 10 hours of support!  Contact a Business Development Manager for more info.

How do I update my EdgeCAM Keys now that I have them?
If you receive a new key, the software should be loaded on it and you should be able to plug it in and start using it with your Edgecam.  If you have renewed your maintenance and received your new keycode via the internet, while on your computer that has Edgecam on it, double click the .one file and follow the wizard from there.

Should I keep up on my software maintenance contracts?
Purchasing Maintenance is up to you. Maintenance contracts give many benefits which include:

  • Access to technical support. The email and telephone support hotline provides you with advice and prompt solutions to any technical problems you may encounter.
  • User Groups - Get the most from your investment by attending one of our FREE User Group Days. These give you the opportunity to meet our service engineers face-to-face and other engineers in the manufacturing industry to discuss how to maximize your output from your software system by use of advanced techniques and tailoring of the EdgeCAM system.
  • Software Upgrades. You can expect to receive all major upgrades and have access to software patches throughout the year. These upgrades will keep you up-to-date with advances in technology and enhancements.  This is important for the seamless integration of your software packages.
  • Training Notices.  Be notified of the latest training courses offered by Manufacturing Technologies Group .
  • Manufacturing Technologies Group WebCast Invites.  These FREE online presentations are designed to improve the way you engineer today!
  • By not renewing you are subject to higher update costs should you decide to renew after your expiration date.

What is the difference between a Service Pack update and a CD update?
Patch updates are available to each consecutive version of Edgecam. These can be downloaded on the service packs page.
CD updates are available for major releases (e.g. version 5.0, version 6.0). CD installations are also available for new customers. The results of a Patch and CD upgrade are identical apart from the example files which are typically not altered by a Patch.

Who do I contact to renew my maintenance or to add-on/delete products from my configurations?
